Welcome to KK-03!  I am so pleased to be your child's teacher this year.  I am enjoying getting to know each KK-03 family so I would like to let you know a little about me.  I am a true Midtowner having lived here since I was 3.  I have several nieces and 2 dogs, Wyatt and Reese.  I am lucky to have my parents, sister and her family here in Midtown.  Unfortunately, my brother and his family live further away.  I enjoy spending as much time with family and friends, walking my dogs, bike riding, working in my yard, and going to the beach whenever I get the chance. I  graduated from the University of Memphis and I started my teaching career over 22 years ago at Grahamwood Elementary where I taught 2nd grade optional.   During my 20+ years at Peabody, I have taught kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 3rd grade optional and finally found my way back to kindergarten over 10 years ago!  In 2011-2012, I was named an Irreplaceable Teacher in recognition of teaching excellence.  I I am also recognized as a Highly-Qualified teacher and have served as a mentor with MTR (Memphis Teacher Residency).  Teaching kindergarten is where my heart lies.  I find it to be such a fulfilling experience.  Thank you for sharing your child with me.
